Mind has been blown but if anyone's wondering about the Joint Push/Pull, in particular the third example with the stairs:

A better way of doing it is creating only one of the steps and making it a component, making multiple instances of it and then changing the size of one to change the size of all the others.

This way you'll have a redundancy fall back (in that if you need to change the sizes later, you'll be able to quickly do it with a double click as opposed to selecting all the surfaces that need to be changed as is in the case of the joint push/pull). Disadvantage of this is the more component instances you have, the slower the real time rendering will be (eg: orbit/panning in the model space).

      tldr: use components.

      Hope it helps!
